STABILISATION & FACADE PROTECTION

Structures requiring change in use or subject to deterioration often develop as projects suitable for supplemental support stabilisation or enhancement. Walmac has extensive experience in this field with many high profile projects successfully completed. Conventional stabilisation techniques include underpinning of foundations and the enlargement of structural elements.

Walmac protect existing facades during demolition and new construction in order to meet today’s conservation and planning requirments. Retention of older structures and their facades requires special temporary support systems until the new structures are completed. Walmac has developed an enviable skill set and reputation for their understanding and ability in this area. Our design and installation of temporary support structures have resulted in the retention of some of Ireland’s unique facades and architectural treasures
